Jose Rodriguez

Jose Luis Rodriguez, age 58, beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle, was called to his eternal resting place on September 23, 2020. He is proceeded in death by his father, Desiderio Rodriguez, his mother, Maria de Jesus Rodriguez, his brothers Raul, Desiderio Jr, David, and Abel Rodriguez, and his two sisters Rachel Aronjon and Elizabeth Bocanegra.

Jose is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Guadalupe "Lupita" Rodriguez; his daughter Selina Rodriguez; his son Jose Armando (Peggy) Rodriguez; his sisters Loida (Thomas) Presas and Maria de Josefa (Adan) Zavala; numerous nieces, nephews and his two best friends ‘Stubby’ and ‘Diesel’ who never left his side.

Jose spent the first 15 years of his adult life working as a farmer in the Rio Grande Valley.  He spent his days recalling his love for picking cotton and watering the fields.  Shortly after, he found his new passion as a Fire Sprinkler Pipefitter and retired after devoting 15 years of protecting commercial buildings in Texas.

Jose had an amazing life filled with so many laughs, hundreds of friends, family and lots of love.  He was an avid outdoorsmen and gun collector who loved making the best memories outdoors with his family.  Jose will always be remembered for his love and dedication to his family, his hard work, and his devotion to helping others no matter the situation.

Visitation will be begin on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 2:00PM.  A rosary will take place at 3:00PM, followed by a prayer service at 6:00PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville.  Funeral service will be held Monday, September 28, 2020 at 10:00AM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.
