Amalia Salinas

Amalia R. Salinas, went to be with our Lord peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the age of 85, after a long battle with cancer.  Amalia was born on April 8, 1937, to her mother, Felicita Vela Rodriguez and her father, Librado Rodriguez.  Amalia will be remembered for her immense faith in God.   She wrote down her prayers and placed them in her bible; she would say to place everything in the hands of God.  Amalia enjoyed baking her favorite desserts and giving a card with a meaningful message on special occasions to her loved ones.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, Domingo Salinas; daughters Rosie (David) Silva and Janie (Nick) Martinez; grandchildren, Ann Marie Hinojosa, Jennifer Gonzalez, Davlin Cantu, John David Silva, Michael Paul Jackson, Olivia Guevara, and Bianca Tijerina; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a eulogy at 7:00PM.  A funeral service will take place at 10:00AM on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Templo Betel, 628 E. Richard Ave, Kingsville, TX.  Rite of committal and interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
