Roberto Garcia

Roberto "Bobby" Ramos Garcia, beloved husband, dedicated father, loving brother, fun uncle, and adored grandfather went home to perfection and paradise on August 13, 2020.

Bobby, 67, was born into this world by Antonio and Olivia Garcia on April 11, 1953.

Bobby, born in Kingsville, TX, was a proud graduate from H&M King High School. For 15 years he dedicated his life to protecting his beloved community as a Sergeant for the Kleberg County Sheriff's Department. It was his nature to protect, defend, and love all those that crossed his path. In his later years, Bobby continued his legacy of respect and selflessness as a maintenance supervisor with Community Action.

In the journey that was his life, he loved and cared for many people that loved and cared for him. Bobby was a quiet and gentle man, who loved the precious time that he spent with his family BBQing, sitting outside, fishing, working on cars, hunting, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and adoring every minute that he spent with his children and grandchildren.

In life there are heroes that are made because of tragedy and heroes that are credited in the eyes of the people that love them. Bobby was one of those heroes that was created by the love and the hearts of all of those that loved him. Bobby, Daddy, Popo, you were one of a kind and you will be missed beyond the measures of our tears. Until we meet again, enjoy heaven and never forget that you are loved more than our words could ever express.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Olivia Garcia, one brother Hector R. Garcia and two sisters Diana Garcia and Elena (Angel) Lira.

Survivors include his wife Laura Garcia: two daughters Monica O. Garcia, Cristina Garcia, one son Roberto (Erika) Garcia Jr., two stepsons Robert (Ainslee) Mapes, Joshua Mapes, fourteen grandchildren, two brothers Antonio (Sylvia) and Jose Arturo (Yolanda) Garcia, two sisters, Maria (Felix Lara) Lorenza and  Angelica Espino, one sister-in-law Alicia Olivarez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
