Robert "Bob" Hadley

Robert “Bob” Clarke Hadley, Sr. passed away on June 19, 2020 in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on March 15, 1939 in Eagletown, Oklahoma to Rudolph and Virginia Hadley.

He is preceded in death by both his parents; his first wife, Janet Hadley; and two brothers, Thomas and Michael Hadley.

Bob served in the US Navy for 23 years as an Aviation Fire Control Technician. He had numerous deployments including tours during the Vietnam War. Upon retiring from the Navy, he served Kingsville as Electrical Trades vocational teacher at HM King High. He also started a fence building business and built fences in Kingsville and surrounding communities for over 30 years. Upon leaving KISD, he worked at NAS Kingsville as an aircraft mechanic, until he fully retired.

Throughout his life, Bob had a positive impact on others. Service to others and  generosity were defining traits throughout his life. He served Epiphany Episcopal Church in several positions and provided life skills and jobs through teaching and through his business. Family and community were the focal parts of his life.

Robert is survived by his wife, Pamela Hadley of Kingsville; two daughters, Melissa Hadley of Moody, TX, and Lorena Hadley of Corpus Christi, TX; one son, Robert Hadley, Jr. of Tilburg, Netherlands, two stepchildren, Justin Followell of Phoenix, Arizona and Jacob Ryan Followell of Kingsville, Texas; two sisters, Sheila Chaney of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Cindy Williams of Norman, OK; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Epiphany Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Costal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.

Services are in the care of Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
