It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved, Ricardo Sendejo. Ricardo was born on July 10, 1963 and passed away on October 2, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Corpus Christi to Fortino and Maria Sendejo.
Ricardo (Rick) enlisted in the United States Army and was initially stationed in Germany. He reached the rank of sergeant and served tours in Iraq, Somalia, and Afghanistan. After 13 years as an active member of the military, he was honorably discharged. He loved fishing, rock music, and the Dallas Cowboys. Rick was an unselfish person who was always willing and ready to offer a helping hand when asked.
He was preceded in death by his father Fortino R. Sendejo.
Survivors include his wife, Alicia Sendejo; son, Ricardo Jr. (Anissa) Sendejo; daughters, Desiree and Miranda Sendejo; mother, Maria Sendejo; siblings, Eduardo (Angie) Sendejo, Cyndi S. Casey, Chrysti (Chris) Budd, Tony Sendejo, Jacob (Sandra) Sendejo, Rebecca Sendejo, and Criselda (Eugene) Gonzalez; three granddaughters; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., followed by a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery in Bishop.
