Olivia Saldivar

Olivia Garza Saldivar, 92, was received into the loving hands of the Lord on

November 14, 2019.  She was born in Brownsville, Texas on July 3, 1927 to Jesus

Collantes Garza and Andrea Garza Garza. Olivia was the seventh of fifteen

siblings.

She moved to Kingsville, Texas with her beloved husband, Patricio G.

Saldivar, Sr. for approximately thirteen years, then made Freeport, Texas and

Houston, Texas their home for several years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers and four

sisters.  Left to cherish her memories are her two sons, Patricio G. Saldivar,

Jr. (Soila) and Juan Manuel Saldivar (Mary Helen), seven grandchildren,

fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Olivia was a strong, kind, compassionate, and independent lady who loved

God.  She loved cooking, sewing, gardening, singing, and taking care of her family.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends who were blessed to have her in their lives.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
