Michael Moore passed away on August 30, 2022. He was born on October 1, 1958, to George Edward and Dixie Moore.
Michael entered the service with the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from September 1976- February 1979. He was deeply in love and passionate about working in the oilfields, which he did for many years, during his time there he met many amazing friends who became family to him. He loved fishing, going to the beach with his dogs, and spending time with family and friends. He was an amazing husband, daddy, pawpaw, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Edward Moore Jr. “Bud”.
Among those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Yanira Hernandez Moore; daughter, Crystal Earlene Payne (Billy Beltran); stepchildren, Donny (Sonia) Elliott, Alejandro (Erika) Hernandez, Francisco Hernandez, Ricardo Hernandez, Camila Hernandez; granddaughter, Makayla Maree Payne; step grandchildren, Emilee, Enzo, and Elorah Elliott, Leo, Cristian, and Alex Hernandez; his one and only great granddaughter, Ayzalyn Lyzae Payne; sisters, Rhonda Moore Sciaraffa, Suzanne (Jimmy) Johnson, Penny (Wayne) Leake, and Diane Moore; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Turcotte Piper Mortuary from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Military honors will begin at 1:45 PM following with a chapel service. Interment will be held at Chamberlain Cemetery.
