Maria Canales Crouch

Maria Luisa Canales Crouch passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born on September 26, 1942, to Jose and Concepcion Canales. Maria was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and Golden State Warrior fan; and her favorite basketball player was Steph Curry. She enjoyed the maquinitas, traveling; and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her witty sense of humor and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William “Buster” Crouch; parents; infant sister, Maria; siblings, Maria Diega Canales, Antonio Canales, Napoleon Canales, Miguel Canales, Jose Canales, Flora Canales, Jesus Canales, Pablo Canales, Servando Canales, and Benito Canales.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Pedro Vasquez, Jr., Jose Vasquez, and Daniel Vasquez (Rosa Buentello); siblings, Connie C. Neeley and Nemencio Canales; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a holy rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
