Maria Gonzalez

Maria Olga Gonzalez, 71, was called to her eternal resting place on August 20, 2020. She entered this world on August 1, 1949 in Kingsville, Texas, born to Soila Guajardo and Ignacio Guajardo, Sr. She enjoyed gambling and crafting and loved spending time with her family. Maria was known as a loving, caring, and giving person, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Rudy Guajardo.

She is survived by her husband, Juan M. Gonzalez Sr.; four children, Patricia (Erasmo) Reyes, Juan M. Gonzalez, Jr., Randy (Claudia) Gonzalez and Brandie (David) Valdez; 10 grandchildren, Rae (Sarah) Reyes, Brian Reyes, Bethany (Matthew) Hernandez, Sidney (Meghan) Gonzalez, Alyana Gonzalez, Robert Gonzalez, Ashley Gonzalez, David Valdez, Jr., Trey Valdez and Gabriella Valdez; 3 great- grandchildren, Brian Reyes, Jr., Ledger Gonzalez and Serenity Longoria plus her beloved dog, Rocky; brothers, Crispin (Esther) Guajardo, Ignacio (Olga) Guajardo, Jr., Ernest Guajardo and sister, Diana (Oscar) Gonzalez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church in Bishop. Interment will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
