Jose Martinez

Jose Luis Martinez (Joe), age 68, passed away at Christus Spohn Hospital in Kingsville on March 1st, 2021 after a short illness.

Joe was born and raised in Raymondville Texas where he attended Raymondville High School. After graduation Joe, then 18, married Delia Duarte and moved to Kingsville, where he attended college before starting his own business known as Joe's Floor Care. Joe loved what he did and took great pride in each of the jobs he contracted. Joe was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Kingsville for many years, reaching the rank of Elder during that time. His love for Jehovah and passion for the Kingdom Hall's teachings drove him to bring more people to hear the word of Jehovah. Joe was an avid camper and used his yearly excursion as a time for relaxation, wading in the water and sleeping amongst nature. For Joe, the presence of family during these trips was a welcomed bonus.

He was preceded by his first wife, Delia Duarte Martinez, and his parents Ignacio and Ignacia Martinez.

He is survived by his widow Alice D. Robles, daughter, Jennifer Ruby Martinez, and her wife Dorathy Martinez. Additionally, he is survived by five siblings; Rosa Maria Martinez Garza, Jose Javier Martinez, Blanca Martinez Flores, Leticia Martinez Abrego, and Ignacio Martinez Jr, as well as their spouses; Norma Martinez, Steve Flores, Robert Abrego, and Dina Martinez.

Joe will truly be missed by his family and friends. No matter if he was providing solemn wisdom, crafting a witty joke, or just flashing his trademark infectious smile, Joe will forever live on in the hearts and minds all who crossed his path.
