Fabian Sanchez, Jr.

Fabian Martin Sanchez, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Martin was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Saint James Catholic Church in Bishop, TX. He was a graduate of Bishop High School and shortly after began his career working for the Celanese Plant in Bishop, TX, where he dedicated 51 years of his life as a Maintenance Superintendent; and was honored to have a facility named after him when he retired. He enjoyed his retirement life and made sure he met up with his buddies every morning for breakfast and coffee at El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant in Kingsville, TX after his morning workout at the gym. Martin was a loving man and always made it a point to visit his friends if they were ill in the hospital. Martin was blessed with loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss his presence, phone calls and text messages dearly.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Enedina R. Sanchez; grandson, Jose Alonzo Garza; parents, Fabian M. Sr. and Idolina Sanchez; brother, Felix Morris Sanchez.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his children, Melba Sanchez, Fabian Martin II. (Shelly) Sanchez, John (Diana) Sanchez, and Ida Ann (Jorge Garza) Sanchez; brother, Fernando Max (Fila) Sanchez; sisters, Idolina Garcia, Julia (Abelino) Sanchez Luera, Anita (Mike) Guajardo, Luisa Alvarado; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel at 9:30 AM on Saturday, April 2, 2022, to St. James Catholic Church in Bishop, TX for a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM.

Honoring him as pallbearers are, Ricky Allen Balderas, Darren Earhart, Dante Medina, Arturo Resurez, Jacob Trevino, Joe Trevino, III, Adrian Vera, and Matt Williams.
