Obituary

Ernesto De La Paz, Sr., 77, passed away on December 22, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on October 2, 1943 in Kingsville, Texas to Lazaro De La Paz, Sr. and Cresencia Losoya. Ernesto was a truck driver for 55 years for De La Paz Trucking. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, and one brother, Lazaro De La Paz, Jr.

Ernesto is survived by his wife of 58 years, Yolanda B. De La Paz of Kingsville, Texas; three sons, Ernesto (Patricia) De La Paz, Jr., Roel (Elia) De La Paz, and Rogelio (Rachel) De La Paz all of Kingsville, Texas; two daughters, Nilda (Rolando) Bazan, and Nora (Ramiro) Morales both of Kingsville, Texas; one brother, Leonel (Gloria) De La Paz, Sr. of Kingsville, Texas; two sisters, Paula (Joe) Cruz of Kingsville, Texas, and Sister Oralia De La Paz of Vineland, New Jersey; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the Rosary to be recited at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
