Drew Journey

Our beautiful son, Drew Anthony Journey, 31 years old, passed on September 1 2021 in Kingsville.

He was born in Lubbock Texas on April 24,1990. Drew was survived by his proud and loving parents Michael and Patti Journey, His Grandfather JL (Irma) Rush, Aunts and Uncles, Richard Journey(Stella), Rebecca Rush(Wayne), Jenifer Taylor (Ron), Teresa Philips ( Doug), Danny Beckham (Debbie), Jerry Rush (Jackie), Steve Rush (Liz), and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his biological mother and both of his Grandmothers who loved him more than dearly.

Drew's early years were spent in Portland Texas until the family moved to Kinsville in 1993. He graduated from high school in 2008. He had many interests and loves among them anything sports related, especially Green Bay Packers, Houston Astros, Texas A&M Kingsville Football, Ice Rays Hockey, sharks, woodworking, and bible study. He loved hunting or just target shooting, and collecting stuff. He had this amazing memory for things that interested him and could recite scores from World Series from decades ago as well as Superbowl data from years past. He loved being a christian and was a proud American.

His parents truly believe that he was one of God's miracles based on his determination to overcome all the obstacles he faced his entire life as well as the way he touched the hearts of so many.

He had a sweet and generous heart and one of his favorite things was giving gifts when people were not expecting them. One of the most important things in life was accomplished by Drew, He loved and was loved.

Services will be on September 18 at 2 pm at the Kingsville Church of Christ.
