Daniel A. Garcia also known as “Sugar Foot” went to be with our Lord and Savior late Thursday night October 13, 2022, at the age of 75. He was surrounded by family and love during his last living moments.
He was born on October 19, 1946 and was raised in the King Ranch where he was given the nickname “Sugar Foot”. His smile would light up a room anytime he would walk in. He worked in the oilfield for over 25 years and took pride in being a Derrick man which involved many responsibilities. He was a huge football fan; his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with family and friends, he was always full of laughter. He enjoyed fishing and watching western movies.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents Maxcimiliano and Julia Garcia, 3 brothers Urbano Gilberto Garcia Sr., Domingo Servando Garcia, and Jose Maria Garcia. 1 sister Maria Teresa Garcia, 1 grandson Nathan L, Goff and his life partner for the past 15 years Florestela D. Dimas.
Among those left to cherish his memories are his brother Jesus (Sylvia) Garcia Sr. of Kingsville TX.: Daughters, Christy (Jenaro) Gonzalez of Bishop TX., Amy Garcia of Baton Rouge LA., Aida (Jose) Razo of Kingsville TX., Annabelle Garcia Treviño of Kingsville TX., 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Turcotte Piper Mortuary from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. A chapel service will be on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
