Brad Roberts

Brad Shelton Roberts, age 69, passed away November 8, 2019 in Kingsville, Texas.  He was born on February 11, 1950 in Kingsville, Texas to Ernest Shelton Roberts and Shirley Jean Parker.

Brad was a lifelong outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing golfing, camping, photographing wildlife, etc. In his early years he participated in the usual boyhood activities such as football, basketball, baseball, and Boy Scouts, just to name a few. In addition, he was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. On most Sunday’s in the fall you could find him in front of the television cheering on the Cowboys to either pour it on their opponents or imploring them to make a comeback. Whichever the case, it was always at the top of his lungs.

Perhaps the best way to describe Brad however is that he had a huge zest of life. He was constantly on the go and he loved to be with friends and family. Those who knew him best will tell you that he loved to entertain a small group or an entire room with jokes and funny stories. More often than not, the stories were wildly embellished and usually at the expense of someone else. He was loved by most and missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Buddy; sons, Blayne Shelton Roberts, Parker Scot-Alan Roberts; and brother, Parker Thad Roberts.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Joan Roberts; daughters, Carrie Denease Roberts, Camille Marie (Rick) Webb, brothers, Chet (Risë) Roberts, Carter Roberts; five grandchildren, Nicholas Roberts, Troy Duran, Conner, Morgan, Megan Webb; many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
