Arnulfo Rodriguez

Arnulfo “Cat” H. Rodriguez, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.  Arnulfo retired from URI after 20 years; he also started his own construction business.  He coached baseball and softball for several years and formed a softball team named “Los Gatos” who were 1st place winners.  Arnulfo was a funny, loving, and understanding man.  He was a member of Coastal Bend Fellowship Church; and his faith in his lord Jesus was unwavering.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his son, Arnulfo Rodriguez, Jr.; parents, Jesus and Eustolia H. Rodriguez.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Rosario Rodriguez; son, Glenn Rodriguez (Melissa Anguiano); daughters, Dina (Johnny) Chavez and Beverly (Danny) Balboa; sister, Mary Ester (Ronnie) Villarreal; brothers, Oscar (Maria) Rodriguez and Jesus (Elvia) Rodriguez, Jr.; 8 grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 PM. A funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, to Coastal Bend Fellowship Church for a funeral service to be celebrated at 10:00 AM.  Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Evangelico Cemetery in Bishop, TX.
