Alfredo De La Rosa

Alfredo G. De La Rosa went to be with the lord on April 8, 2022, He was 75 years old. Alfredo was born on September 17, 1946, in Riviera, Tx.

Alfredo was a pioneer in Conjunto music for over 50 years. Alfredo started in the music industry alongside his brothers Tony and Adan at the age of 16 years old. He later went on to have his own conjunto and enjoyed being on stage. He performed for many years and traveled to many states and cities. He enjoyed playing for his fans and meeting them. Alfredo loved fishing, watching western movies, and listening to mariachi music.

Alfredo was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Dominga De La Rosa; his grandson, Guadalupe Pito Alvarado Jr.; three brothers; three sisters.

Alfredo is survived by his wife of 41 years, Brenda De La Rosa; two daughters, Aubree De La Rosa, Rosie (Lupe) Alvarado Sr.; two sons, Rick (Angie) De La Rosa, Rudy (Priscilla) De La Rosa; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Emma Prado, Herlinda San Miguel, Connie (Pete) Mireles, Elida (Bobby) Ruiz; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved puppy Sophie.

Alfredo’s family would like to thank everyone for all their prayers. A special thanks to Moses Flores for being Alfredo’s caretaker and helping with all his needs.

Family will receive condolences will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Turcotte Piper Mortuary the family will be receiving guests at 11:00 AM, a procession will depart the funeral chapel to St. Martin’s Catholic Church at 12:30 PM for a Mass at 1:00 PM.
