Adriana "Audrey" Herrera

Adriana (Audrey) Herrera, age 45, went to be with our Lord peacefully on Monday, September 13, 2021. Audrey was born June 15, 1976, in Kingsville, TX.  She worked for NAS Kingsville for 13 years; then pursued a career as a Program Assistant for Irma Rangel College of Pharmacy Texas A&M University. Audrey was happily married to Arturo Herrera who was her partner in life. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend. Audrey adored her time with family and looked forward to planning family vacations and weekend getaways. She loved having all her family together celebrating holidays especially Halloween.  Audrey had an interest in playing tennis, doing nails and in arts and crafts. Her true passion was to be a servant in God's Kingdom. Audrey had a gift to encourage and speak words of wisdom to anyone in need.

Audrey will be remembered as a bright light with an energetic personality. Any room Audrey walked into she would light it up with her beautiful contagious smile. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for serving others; there wasn't a time that anyone couldn't count on Audrey to be there as a helping hand.

She is preceded in death by her father, Octavio Flores Sr.; maternal grandmother, Mercedes R Calzada; maternal grandfather Desiderio Calzada Sr.; paternal grandparents, Macedonio Flores and Otilia Flores.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Arturo Herrera; daughter, Kayla A. Gomez; son, Caleb A. Herrera; stepson, Derrick D. Herrera; mother, Mary F. Rodriguez; brother Octavio (Rosanne) Flores Jr.; brother, Gilberto Olivarez; and eight nieces and nephews.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a prayer service to begin at 7:00PM.  A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at King’s Way Family Church.  A Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
