Vernell Kieschnick

Vernell Leona Theiss Kubsch Kieschnick was born on January 14, 1928, in Bishop, Texas, to Fred and Lizzie Runge Theiss.
She was faithful to her Lord and a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bishop, Texas. She was baptized at St. Paul, Bishop, on January 29, 1928, where she was also confirmed on April 6, 1941. Her confirmation verse was Matthew 26:41, Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
On November 17, 1946, she married Wilburn Frederick Kubsch at St. Paul, Bishop. Vernell was the wife of a farmer and carpenter. She was a cashier at several grocery stores in Bishop and worked the longest at Moerbes Grocery Store until she retired. She was a loving mother and spent her pasttime sewing, making quilts for her grandchildren, crocheting, and a lot of canning and cooking.
After Wilburns death, she married Virgil Kieschnick on May 4, 1996.
Vernell was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn her parents, Fred and Lizzie Theiss brothers, Henry, Lawrence, Eugene, Anton, and Fred Buddy Theiss and granddaughter, Christy Lynn Kubsch.
She is survived by her husband, Virgil Kieschnick sister, Bertha Tootsie Rodgers and husband Damon daughter, Barbara Ewing and husband Tony son, Gerald Kubsch and wife Robin daughter, Brenda Elsik her grandchildren, Todd Ewing and wife Susan, Kevin Ewing, Darrel Kubsch and wife Gloria, Andrew Kubsch and Azalea, Stacie Kubsch and Jason, Gary M. Elsik and wife Heather, Steven Elsik, and Lisa Elsik and her greatgrandchildren, Addison Ewing, Katelyn Ewing and Lane Elsik.
She is also survived by stepchildren, Carol and Joe Culley, Russell and Tamara Kieschnick, Ryan and Annie Kieschnick, and Randy Kieschnick grandchildren, Kimberly and Noe Perez, Jonathan, Lauren, Breanna, Thomas, and Tyler Kieschnick and greatgrandchild, Eva Perez.
Vernell also leaves behind sistersinlaw, Ann Theiss, Pearly Theiss, Florence Adkins, Waldean Richter and husband Kenneth brotherinlaw, Allen Kubsch and wife Betty and many beloved nieces and nephews, along with many, many friends.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the TurcottePiper Mortuary Chapel, Kingsville. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bishop, with Rev. Matthew T. Ulmer officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to TurcottePiper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
