Thomas Nelson

Thomas Kenneth Nelson, age 90, passed away on September 20, 2018, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born January 19, 1928, in Bishop, Texas, to Samuel and Ophelia Nelson. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bishop, Texas, for 80 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert G. Nelson and Alfred L. Nelson and one nephew, Samuel C. Nelson.
Kenneth is survived by his niece, Nancy K. Nelson, grandnephew, Travis C. (Laura) Nelson of Corpus Christi, Tx., grandniece, Katie M. Nelson of San Antonio, Tx., sister-in-law, Mary H. Nelson of Portland, Tx., great grandnephew and niece, Samuel E. Nelson and Adeline R. Nelson both of Corpus Christi, Tx, and a host of friends.
Visitation with family to receive friends will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary on Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Bishop, Texas, on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Bishop, Tx.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Bishop, Texas.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
