Stanley “Curtis” McFarland Jr., passed away on July 22, 2020 at his home in Kingsville, Texas. He was born February 11, 1953 to Stanley Curtis McFarland Sr. and Helen Frances Cason McFarland. He was a graduate of H.M. King High school and graduated from Texas A&I University in 1976. He worked at Kingsville Lumber for several years and also worked as the sound engineer for local band Sandy’s Six Pack. Curtis spent most of his life working as a government contractor for NAS Kingsville. He worked for the past 23 years as an education specialist supporting the Fleet and Family Support Center. Those that were familiar with Curtis knew that he was soft spoken individual but was a faithful friend to everyone he knew.
He is survived by his brother Campbell “Cam” Cason McFarland and close family friends Carol & Lindell Cannon, Tyler Cannon, Baylie De La Rosa as well as numerous friends and co-workers. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Due to Covid-19 there will not be any services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
