Soila Acevedo, 73, passed away on July 19, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on June 22, 1947 in Kingsville, Texas to Adan Flores and Elodia Flores.
God gained a beautiful angel in Soila Acevedo. For those who knew her, Soila embodied the epitome of kindness, generosity, and compassion. She was full of life, knew how to have fun, and always wore a smile. Soila enjoyed her sweets, watching her Westerns, going to dances, driving, and spending time with her family. Her home and her heart were always available to anyone who needed it. She made people feel comfortable and loved. There are many people in her life who found solace in her presence, and many who were fortunate to experience her unconditional love. While she may have had only two biological children, many people in her life felt the love of a mother in her presence. Soila lived a wonderful life. As a young girl she lived in La Parra Ranch, experienced life, had two children, drove a school bus, cared for her mother when she needed her most, and ended her life enjoying all the little moments that truly make living a thing of beauty.
She is preceded by her parents; Adan Flores and Elodia Flores, sister-in law Darline Flores.
She is survived by her children; Christopher (Nikki) Acevedo, Joseph Acevedo, brother; Adan Flores, Jr. several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
We will forever remember the lessons that Soila instilled in her family and those who knew her. Rest now, beautiful angel, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. God has called you home where you will forever be a peace watching over all those who loved you.
