Sharon J. Solis, a beloved matriarch, full of kindness and love, passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on December 8, 1945, Sharon spent her life cultivating relationships and shared countless joyous moments with those around her. She touched the lives of many through her outgoing personality, never meeting a stranger. Her warm spirit made anyone who crossed her path feel welcomed and cherished.
Sharon found immense joy in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. The laughter and love she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest treasures. She relished every moment spent with her family, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever. An avid enthusiast of arts and crafts, Sharon often transformed her creative inspirations into beautiful floral arrangements. Her love for gardening bloomed with the same vibrancy as the flowers she tended, bringing color and life into her home. Cooking was yet another expression of her love; her delicious meals warmed hearts and brought people together around the dining table, creating a sense of community and belonging.
Sharon’s spirit was deeply rooted in her faith, and she found strength and purpose as a member of the First Christian Church. Her faith guided her, enriching her life and the lives of those fortunate enough to be in her presence.
As we remember Sharon, we celebrate the legacy she leaves behind: a life devoted to love, family, and community. Her kind-hearted nature and infectious enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Roy and Lottie (Watts) Page.
Among those left to cherish her sweet memory are her husband, Juan Solis; son, John E. (Nancy) Meek; sister, Venita (Lamar) Smith; grandchildren, Kenneth (Heather) Meek, John (Glori) Meek, Jr., Thomas (Christian) Meek, and Isaac Meek; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Lainey, Evelynn, Maeleigh, Aiden, Mason, and Denier.
A celebration of life will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Services will conclude that morning.
