Ruben Flores Longoria, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 25, 2025, in Kingsville, Texas. Born on May 20, 1943, in Pleasant Township, Ohio, Ruben lived a life filled with dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends.

For over 40 years, Ruben proudly worked as an electrician, a profession he pursued with passion after his education and military service. He graduated from high school before serving in the United States Army during the Korean War, earning medals for sharpshooting, marksmanship, and good conduct. After returning from his service, he received a license to practice his craft, eventually becoming a skilled and respected tradesman in his community.

Ruben's life was marked by deep love and devotion to his wife, Rosa Longoria, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage of 60 years. Their union was an embodiment of partnership, laughter, and support—qualities that resonated through their family and beyond. Ruben took immense pride in his family, considering his greatest accomplishments to be his children.

Known for his straightforward manner and sharp sense of humor, Ruben was not only a great provider but also a cherished friend. His presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him. Whether he was barbecuing for family gatherings, passionately following his Texans football team, or sharing fond memories of gambling and fishing from his younger days, he created countless cherished moments that those who loved him will always remember.

Ruben was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosa Longoria; his parents, Maclovia and Rafael Longoria; and his siblings, all of whom he held dear in his heart.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Laura (Jason) G. Perkins, Angela A. Longoria, and Ruben Longoria; his grandchildren, Todd (Sarah) W. Leisher, Justin C. Perkins, Joshua A. Perkins, Ruben (Brittany) Longoria, and Christian Longoria; and his great-grandchildren, Jaden A. Leisher, Aliyah N. Leisher, and Saydee Keever, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Each of them carried a piece of his legacy, and his spirit will live on through their lives.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Ruben at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas, on January 10, 2026. A visitation will take place at 9:00 AM, followed by a Rosary at 10:30 AM, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
