Obituary

Roscoe D. Walker, born on May 18, 1940, in Kingsville, Texas, passed away on August 14, 2026. Roscoe’s life was marked by devotion, diligence, and a profound kindness that touched all who were privileged to know him.

A proud graduate of HM King, Roscoe’s early years in Kingsville shaped a character rooted in integrity and hard work. Seeking to serve his country, he spent eight formative years in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that instilled in him a sense of duty and discipline he carried throughout his life.

Roscoe later forged a career as a bricklayer and landlord, professions through which he established lasting relationships in his community and demonstrated his unwavering commitment to providing for his loved ones.

Roscoe was a man whose interests encompassed both the joys of nature and a lively curiosity about the world. He found peace working outside on his farm, and joy in activities such as canoeing, playing tennis, and learning and speaking Spanish.

Family was the cornerstone of Roscoe’s life. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his sons Chad Dale (Beth Anne) Walker of Kingsville, and Beau Allen (Michelle) Walker of Corpus Christi; his daughter Holly Wynn (David) McCauley of Corpus Christi; grandchildren Savannah (Eian) Ramos of Kingsville, Samuel Walker of Corpus Christi, Kimberly (Clayton) Turner of Norfolk, Virginia, Seth Walker of San Antonio, Caleb (Jessica) Walker of Chicago Illinois, Isaac (Amanda) Walker of Kingsville, Ryan McCauley of Denton, Ethan McCauley of Corpus Christi, and Katie McCauley of Corpus Christi; great-grandchildren, Leon, Nora, Lana, Rielly, Bellamy, Grayson, Oliver, Jolene, Luna and Amrielle. Their lives are living testaments to his enduring love and guidance.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shiela Walker, and his parents, Roscoe and Anna Doris Walker.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Roscoe’s honor on Saturday, August 22, 2026, with a visitation starting at 2:00 PM and a service to follow at 4:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.

Roscoe D. Walker will be fondly remembered for his steadfast nature, his loving heart, and his legacy as a family man, friend, and pillar of the communities he served so faithfully. His spirit lives on in the stories, values, and memories cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.
