Romulo Rene Garcia, born on January 7, 1951, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the age of 75, leaving behind a legacy rooted in hard work, devotion to his family, and a passion for life’s simple pleasures.

Throughout his 35-year career at Exxon Mobil, Romulo demonstrated unwavering commitment and an exceptional work ethic. His dedication at work was matched only by his deep care for his loved ones. Though now retired, his colleagues and friends remember him fondly for both his professionalism and his warm nature. During retirement, Romulo embraced traveling and found joy working on his ranch—pursuits that brought him peace and fulfillment in his later years.

Romulo was a well-educated man, a trait he carried with humility and grace. He was always attentive to the needs of his family, prioritizing them above all else. Family was, without question, the cornerstone of Romulo’s life, a truth evident in the care and love he extended, especially to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those who knew him will remember his gentle heart and the deep sense of responsibility he felt toward those he held dear.

He took great pride in creating memorable moments with his loved ones. Whether he was preparing a home-cooked meal—an act he truly relished—or filling the home with music, Romulo’s joy was infectious. The rituals of family meals and shared laughter will be cherished memories for all who gathered at his table.

Romulo’s love for the outdoors was shaped early in life, as he grew up on a farm where he learned the values of hard work and perseverance. An avid sports enthusiast, he played football in high school and continued to follow sports throughout his life. He enjoyed the thrill of hunting in nature and was fond of traveling to various casinos, embracing adventure whenever the opportunity arose.

Romulo Rene Garcia’s memory will live through the cherished family moments, the lessons taught, and the love he consistently gave. His legacy is one of steadfast devotion, kindness, and spirited enjoyment of life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gildardo and Eloisa (Valadez) Garcia; in-laws, Elias and Elida Escobar; and siblings, Yldefonso Garcia, Gildardo Garcia, and Enedina Vasquez.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Anita Garcia; children, Adrian Garcia (Angela), Christina Garcia, and Rebecca Garcia (A.J. Hernandez); siblings, Maria Lisa Correll (Douglas) and Diana Gonzalez (Andres); grandchildren, Christopher Falcon (Ariana), Brianna Falcon (Alfonso Montiel), Adriana Garcia, and Elena Esquivel; great-grandchildren, Anthony Falcon, Alayna Falcon, Avery Montiel, Aliyah Falcon, and Joshua Montiel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended families.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a holy rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. and liturgy of the word celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Services will conclude that afternoon.
