Robert Reese, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, journeyed peacefully from this world on August 17, 2024, at his home in Riviera, Texas. Born on November 27, 1959, in the sun-kissed town of Midland, Texas, Robert's life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering dedication.
For nearly three decades, Robert served as a lineman, foreman, and ultimately a superintendent at Municipal Light and Power in Anchorage, Alaska, from October 1989 until his well-deserved retirement in December 2017. His tenure was marked not only by his expertise in the field but also by the deep respect he garnered from colleagues and friends alike. A quiet and laidback man, Robert carried a big heart that touched all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family was the cornerstone of Robert's life. He found immense joy in ensuring the swimming pool was always ready for family during their visits, a simple yet profound gesture that spoke volumes about his loving nature. Always attentive, he made it a point to provide for his beloved wife, Pam, further illuminating the depths of his caring disposition. Together, Robert and Pam shared a beautiful life, encompassing 37 years of love, laughter, and mutual support.
In the warm embrace of his family, Robert delighted in moments spent cooking and grilling, melodies wafting through the air as music played in the background. His affinity for nature was beautifully expressed in the countless hours he devoted to cultivating a vibrant garden, filled with plants and flowers. Each blossom stood as a testament to his nurturing spirit, a reflection of the love he sowed in his life.
Robert is survived by his father, Roger K. Reese; his loving wife Pam Reese; his daughter, Angela and husband Ron Froton; and his granddaughter, Jordien Gasper. He also leaves behind his siblings: Steve and wife Judy Scarborough, Melissa Scarborough, Roger and wife Jennifer Weinfurter, Billy and wife Gale Weinfurter, and Julie and husband Jaime Leon, and his little buddy, driving companion, and beloved dog Bear (Boo-Boo) who he cared for deeply. Robert will be fondly remembered by his ten nieces and nephews and one great nephew, all of whom carry pieces of his spirit within them.
He was preceded in death by his mother Karen Scarborough, stepmother Patricia Reese, and his brother Joe Bob Scarborough, their memories will forever intertwine with the tapestry of his legacy.
His loss leaves an undeniable void in the hearts of those who loved him dearly, but his spirit will undoubtedly continue to shine brightly through the memories he has created and the lives he has touched.
