Reymundo Amaya

Reymundo Amaya, a devoted family man and hard worker, passed away on May 19, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 79. Born on June 8, 1945, in Kingsville, Texas, Reymundo lived a life dedicated to his family and his work.

Reymundo proudly served in the Army for three years, including a tour in Vietnam, embodying the values of duty and sacrifice that characterize the men and women of our armed forces. After his military service, he channeled his strong work ethic into a lengthy career at Acme Radiator and Muffler Shop, where he made a lasting impact in his community, known for his reliability and skill.

Reymundo is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Amaya, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. His sons, Reymundo David Amaya and Joseph Anthony Amaya, continue his legacy, along with numerous nieces and nephews who cherished their time with him. His siblings, Arcadio (Wilma) Amaya Jr. and Cristela Amaya, also mourn his passing.

Reymundo is now reunited with those who preceded him in death: his father Arcadio Amaya, his mother Josefa Orta, and his siblings Cruz, Guillermo, Petra, Aurora, and Mary Lou Amaya, all of whom surely welcome him with open arms in a place where pain and sorrow cease to exist.

A visitation will be held on May 27, 2025, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, beginning at 8:00 AM, followed by a Rosary at 9:30 AM and a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Reymundo will then be laid to rest at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery, with interment commencing at 11:15 AM.

Reymundo Amaya leaves behind a rich legacy of love and loyalty, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
