Raymon Salazar, a beloved partner, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on November 18, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on April 7, 1950, in Lamesa, Texas, and lived a life full of purpose, leaving lasting impact on all who knew him.

Raymon began his journey in adulthood by graduating from Klondike ISD in 1968. He dedicated his professional life to the oil and gas industry, starting as a roustabout at 3 C's Construction for three years before spending over 40 years as a floor hand in pulling units for various companies, including Parks Well Service, Well-Co, Key Energy, and WLP. Additionally, he served as a correctional officer at TDCJ for three years, showcasing his commitment to hard work and dedication.

Raymon was a man of remarkable character, known for being never at a loss for words and for his outgoing personality. His friends knew him as someone who always made a lasting impression, a reliable figure who had their backs no matter what the circumstances were. With his strong personality, Raymon was well respected and fostered deep connections with those around him. His hobbies included barbecuing for family and friends, where his competitive spirit shone through during games of cards, dominoes, checkers, and pool. Raymon also had a passion for dancing and cherished vacations spent cruising to different ports with his family.

Throughout his life, Raymon was especially devoted to his family, who will continue his legacy. He is survived by his loving partner of 30 years, Emma Aguilar, and his cherished children—sons Roman Salazar (Nancy) of Andrews, Texas, Matthew Salazar (Josie) of Snyder, Texas, daughter Mia Marquez of Midland, Texas, and daughter Debbie Trevino of Kingsville, Texas. His grandchildren, Myka Salazar, Izak Salazar, Mercedez Salazar, Madison Salazar, Raven Salazar, Samantha Yanez, Zachary Yanez, Makenzie Marquez, Jeramiah Marquez, and Giovanni Marquez, were the pride and joy of his life. He is remembered by his siblings Rosendo Salazar of Lovington, New Mexico; Olga (Butch) Davila of Andrews, Texas; Mary (Joe) Ramirez of Brownwood, Texas; and Anna Niell of Princeton, Texas.

Raymon was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Salazar and Juanita Bara Salazar, and his brothers Jimmy and Armando Salazar, as well as his sister Felicia Landin.

Visitation will be held on November 24, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas, followed by a holy rosary to be recited in his honor at 7:00 PM. A Mass will take place on November 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Martin Catholic Church, concluding with interment at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.

Raymon Salazar will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
