Petronilo Esquivel

Petronilo Rivera Esquivel, 98, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2019. He was born on May 13, 1921 in Bishop Texas to Primitivo Esquivel and Leandra R. Esquivel.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Primitivo and Leandra R. Esquivel; wife, Cristina Salazar Esquivel; brother, Santiago Esquivel; son David Esquivel and; stepdaughter, Hermila Hinojosa.

He is survived by his children, Gilbert Esquivel (Elena), Sylvia Torre, Ofelia Salazar (Jorge), Eduardo Morales, Ernesto Esquivel (Andrea), Christina Garcia (Jose), Robert Esquivel, sister; Maria Garcia; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Octavio Hernandez, Yolanda Hernandez, Alma Acuna, and Hector Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Kingsville.  Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas.
