Pamela Jean Ochoa

Pamela Jean Ochoa, 38, passed away on June 16, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on November 29, 1981 in Kingsville, Texas to Sonja Garza and Lauro Rene Ochoa.

Pamela was the most caring, selfless, loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and teacher.  She graduated from Texas A & M University Kingsville and taught for over 15 years.  Pamela had a passion for spending time with family, reading books, and being outdoors.  She had a contagious smile, bubbly personality, and a way of making everyone feel so special.  She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, students, and most of all, her children.  Her boys were her world; she worked hard to give them a wonderful life and couldn’t be more excited to do the same for her daughter, Aryanna Rose Serrano.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gustavo and Dora Garza; paternal grandmother, Rose Hickey; paternal grandfather, Rene Ochoa; paternal great-grandparents, Delmar and Lilia Landers; niece, Faith Love Salinas; and her daughter, Aryanna Rose Serrano.

Pamela is survived by her mother, Sonja (Mandy Rodriguez) Garza; father, Lauro (Yvonne Munoz)  Ochoa; partner, Mario Serrano; children, Jaden Michael Galvan, Jevon Micah Galvan, Jordan Malachi Galvan; paternal grandfather, Joseph Hickey; brothers, Lauro (Ashley) Ochoa Jr., and Richard  (Argelia) Ochoa; sister, Kathryn (Rupert Salinas) Ochoa; half-sister, Jacqueline Lowrie; half-brothers, Eric and Michael Ochoa; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church.
