Ovidio P. Garza, age 81, passed away on May 1, 2020, with his family at his side. Ovidio was born September 28, 1938, to Cruz Garza Garza and Josefa Pena Garza. He worked for MSI in Houston, Texas as a supervisor in the manufacturing industry. Ovidio was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Kingsville. He will be remembered for his loving-kindness toward his faith in Jehovah and his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Virginia G. Saenz, Olga Medina; brothers, Cruz Garza Jr., and Homero Garza; and his granddaughter Haley Rangel.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Janie Cantu Garza; his children, Ovidio C. Garza (Janie Ybarra), Brenda G. Klubertonz, Oscar C. Garza (Annalee Bentancourt), Anastacia G. Hernandez (Francisco X. Hernandez), Leticia Garza; sisters-in-law, Jessie Garza, and Josefa Garza; 3 brothers, Octavio P. Garza (Rose), Ociel P. Garza (Diana), Omar P. Garza and 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held on a later date.
