Oralia Silva, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on January 21, 1940, in the heart of Kingsville, Texas, Oralia radiated warmth and kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she met.
As a devoted housewife, Oralia was married to Aurelio Silva Sr. for 25 years, pouring her love into her family, creating a nurturing environment filled with laughter and joy. In addition to caring for her loved ones, she worked cleaning both the public library and homes alongside her beloved sisters. Her life was a beautiful tapestry, woven from the threads of family, faith, and hard work.
Oralia found deep fulfillment in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was dedicated to her children and took immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren and their little ones. The gatherings around the family table, where she showcased her cooking skills, are cherished memories that will stay in the hearts of her loved ones forever. With a beautiful smile that could light up any room, Oralia's presence will be profoundly missed.
Her faith was central to her life; she was a devoted member of Templo Bethel Assembly of God and often found solace in church, where she loved to sing along with her favorite Christian songs. Oralia was a gentle and caring soul, beloved by all who had the privilege to know her.
Oralia is survived by her loving children: Alicia Sendejo, Ester Nichols, Rose Mary Henley, and Aurelio Silva Jr. Her siblings, brothers, Lee Rodriguez, and Porfirio Rodriguez, and her sister, Dora Rodriguez. She was a proud grandmother to Charles, Chris, Ricky, Desiree, Miranda, Tres, Manze, and Santino, and a treasured great-grandmother to Koren, Cole, Dalean, Lilith, Rinoa, and Freya.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Librado Rodriguez and Felicita Rodriguez, her brother Francisco Rodriguez, her brother Domingo Rodriguez, and her sisters Amalia Salinas, Dominga Garcia, and Yolanda Rodriguez.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, followed by a visitation for family and friends until 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas.
A Graveside Service celebrating Oralia’s life will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas. The doors at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary will open at 8:00 a.m., with a funeral procession departing the mortuary and leading to the cemetery.
Oralia filled our lives, and her memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends.
