Odilia R. Lopez

Odilia R. Lopez went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the age of 79. She was a devout catholic and was involved with St. Martins of Tours Catholic church/school for many years. Odilia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend; and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Carlos “Charlie” Lopez Jr. and Danny Joe Lopez; parents, Frutoso and Concepcion Rivera; brothers, Hector Rivera and Frutoso Rivera, Jr.; and sister, Ercilia.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her 4 children, Deborah “Debbie” (Anthony) Villarreal, Jesus “Jesse” (Jennifer) Lopez, Valerie (Ruben) Garza, and Faith Lopez; 19 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at St. Martins of Tours Catholic Church.  Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
