Norma Moreno

Norma Linda Moreno joined her husband in Heaven on October 28, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 14, 1956 in Falfurrias, Texas to Guadalupe and Maria Villarreal, making her the first grandchild of the Villarreal family. She was married to the love of her life, Roy B. Moreno, until his unexpected passing this past November. With more than 10 years in the hospital setting, her love of caring for others continued with her employment as a school nurse for Kingsville ISD. Norma was a loyal Christian warrior who enjoyed spending time with the Lord. She enjoyed reading daily devotionals, listening to Christian music, and attending church. When her illness made it impossible to attend church, Norma faithfully continued hearing the word at home.

She is preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe Villarreal Jr., and husband, Roy
B. Moreno. She is survived by her mother, Maria Villarreal; daughters,
Priscilla Anne Villarreal (Lorenzo Vela Jr.) and Jiselle Marie (Joshua) Perez;
step-son, Jeremy Moreno; brother, Roel (Vicki) Villarreal; sisters, Yomeida
(George) Martinez and Yolanda (Robert) Burdett. She is also survived by loving
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of cherished
friends.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at
Turcotte-Piper Mortuary (205 General Cavazos Blvd.)

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Norma’s honor
to Hospitality Apartments in Houston, Texas. This is a non-profit that provides
free temporary housing to families receiving medical treatment. During her 4
year journey with cancer, Norma was blessed to be able to stay at Hospitality
Apartments several times.
