Nanette Lyn Kuhn, age 69, was called home by the Lord on September 29, 2025, in Kingsville, Texas. A lifelong resident of Kingsville, she faithfully served her community and those she loved.
As a devoted daughter, loving wife, selfless mother, and a proud Nana, Nanette lived each day guided by her faith. She was a dedicated member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Kingsville, where she served joyfully for many years as a faithful servant of the Lord.
Nanette found purpose in both her work and her passions. As a Real Estate Agent with Kingsville Realty Group, the family business she shared with her father, mother, and sister, she poured her energy into helping others find their homes. She also had a special talent for gardening, a gift inherited from her mother. With her husband, Danny, often at her side, Nanette brought her creative vision to life through beautiful home projects and holiday decorations.
Her greatest joy, however, was her family. Together with Danny, her beloved husband of 47 years, she rarely missed a chance to cheer on her children and grandchildren at their many activities. Some of her most cherished memories were made at the Frio River, where traditions were built and laughter flowed freely. Nanette also treasured time spent on adventures with her sisters.
Nanette is preceded in death by her mother, Janice K. Michalk, and nephew, Austin Ryan White.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Danny K Kuhn; her children Dennis Kuhn (Crystal) of Rockport, TX., Leslie Hakala (Benjamin) of Kingsville, TX., Matthew Kuhn of Austin, TX; and her adored grandchildren Charlotte, Iris, and Wesley Kuhn, along with Claire and Collin Hakala. She is also survived by her father, Odis Michalk of Kingsville, TX; her sisters Natalie Geary, Nona Moffitt (Richard), Catheryn Hoffstadt (James), Paula Fuller (Durwin), and Marsha Michalk; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held at St Paul Lutheran Church in Kingsville, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with a committal service to follow at Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas.
