Michael Paul Mayberry, 42, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in Kingsville. He was born Dec. 23, 1975 to Lester and Debra Mayberry.
He was a graduate of Bishop High School and Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
At TAMUK, he devoted his time and energy to the Baptist Student Ministry, forming friendships and a passion for ministry that would stay with him for the rest of his life. He received his Master's of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth in 2006.
While at TAMUK, he met the love of his life, Camille. They were married July 31, 1999, and over the next 18 years they welcomed seven children into a home filled with laughter, Legos and love.
Michael continued his ministry by working as a software engineer for LIFE Outreach International. He taught Bible study at First Baptist Church-Kingsville and in recent years went on several trips to Belize, ministering in small villages there.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Camille; their children, Jack, Ian, Ava, Evan, Liam, Zoe and Quinn; his mother; his brother, Philip (Kim) Mayberry of Round Rock; and numerous family members and friends.
On Tuesday, May 29, First Baptist Church will host a visitation at 9 a.m. and a celebration of life at 10 a.m. with Reverends Jack Willoughby and Clif Abshier officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Resthaven Cemetery. In keeping with the spirit of Michael's family, please feel free to leave your suit at home and come as you are. In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting Kleberg County Pregnancy Resource Center, a cause very dear to Michael's heart.
