Mary Nix

Mary Evelyn Nix passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 83, after a prolonged illness. She was born February 6, 1939, in Robstown, Texas; and married James Parker Nix in 1959. Mary Evelyn was a dedicated homemaker, who was known for her attention to detail and love of decorating; she loved home and family. For a few years she worked in the Nixs' auto care business alongside her husband.

She was a big supporter of Texas A&I and attended many Javelina games; she loved Kingsville and her community and supported various charities and her church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James; her only child Larry; parents, Vester Vern Tobias and Harriet Beatrice Myers Tobias; and brother, Vern Tobias.

She is survived by her daughter in law, Susan Rosas Nix; two grand puppies and two grandchildren; Mary Evelyn leaves behind five close friends, together since the first grade and she will be missed dearly by them.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Chamberlain cemetery.
