Mary Sharon Cowger
Mary Sharon Cowger, 77, of Corpus Christi passed away in a local assisted living home on December 31, 2023. She was born on November 24, 1946, to Walter and Cora Taylor in Kingsville, Texas.
Mary was employed in numerous health care facilities in Corpus Christi as an insurance examiner and facilitator.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Anthony (Pamela) Taylor.
She is survived by her son, James Cowger (Lisa), and her grandson Isaac Cowger. Mary had two sisters, Jeanna Ann DeReese (Tim) and Elizabeth Alice Greenwell (Jimmy), two brothers, Walter W. Taylor (Dolores), and James Joseph Taylor (Susanne).
Mary was a devout Catholic. She was always willing to give of herself. She had a strong belief that giving to others lovingly was the most enduring and desirable quality, and it would conquer any adversity in life.
A memorial service for Mary will be held Thursday January 18th at St. Pius X Parish beginning with a Holy Rosary at 10:30am followed by a memorial mass at 11:00am.
