Marina Vasquez

Marina S. Vasquez, age 90, entered eternal rest on March 19, 2019 in Kingsville, Texas. Marina was born in Guatemala, Central America to Natalio Baratto and Juana S. de Baratto. She was employed by King Ranch as a cook for Robert J. Kleberg and Helen Kleberg from 1959- 1976. Later in life she was a trusted and loving caregiver for children of close family friends. She was a life long member of Ricardo Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and listening to classical music. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting, reading, and working on word puzzles. She kept in close contact with family and close friends. She was a prayer warrior and always prayed for family and friends.
She is preceded in death by parents Natalio and Juana Baratto, husband Alfredo Vasquez, siblings; Julio Baratto, Raul Baratto, Mario Valenzuela, and sister, Amanda, son in law, Bobby L. Garcia.
She is survived by daughter, Norma Vasquez Garcia; grand daughter Gina Moya and spouse Jay Moya and their children, Isaiah, Elijah and Jocelyn all of El Paso. Grandson David I. Garcia of San Antonio; sister Sara De Porres of Guatemala and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life to be held at Ricardo Baptist Church 221 N. School Road, Kingsville, Texas on March 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank Ricardo Baptist Church and Kindred Hospice Services for their care and support of family. Special thanks to Mrs. Barbara Dreyer and Becky Brown and Sister Elizabeth of Weavers of Love, Maria Mireles Hernandez caregiver over 10 years.
