Maria "Mary" Valenzuela

Maria “Mary” Valenzuela of Bishop, Texas passed away on February 13, 2022.  She was 78.  A wife, mother, grandmother and nurse who was devoted to her patients and her family.  Mary was an LVN at Retama Manor nursing home in Robstown and Pleasanton, Texas. She retired from there after 30 years of working in the medical field.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Fernando Valenzuela Sr. and her parents, Francisco and Hortenica Gonzalez.

She is survived by one son, Fernando Valenzuela II (Kryssie) of Corpus Christi, Texas, one daughter, Yvette Morgan of Corpus Christi, Texas and five grandchildren, Noah Fernando and Ava Julia Valenzuela, Alexis Marie and Priscilla Kristine Morgan and Mariana Lizette Navarro, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister,
Josie Olvera; brother, Cano Gonzalez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Monday, March 7, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM and funeral service at 7:00 PM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.  Interment will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Ft. Sam Houston Nation Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
