Maria Hernandez

Maria Socorro Hernandez, age 74, passed away on December 21, 2016 in Kingsville, Texas. She was born October 24, 1942 in Mcallen, Texas to Bernardo Gonzalez and Guadalupe Hernandez. She owned and operated Monterrey House Restaurant in Kingsville, Texas for 20 years. She was loved and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, brother, Bernardo Gonzalez Jr. as well as her daughter-in-law, Dalia Ledesma.
Socorro is survived by her three children: Juan Ledesma, Pedro D. Cantu (Donna), and Jessica Gonzalez (Simon); 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. With the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Private interment will follow at a later date.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
