Maria C. Silguero

Maria Consuelo "Connie" Silguero passed peacefully on July 16, 2023, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and love. Her death has left an absence in the hearts of her family and friends. Maria was born on March 27, 1933, which led to a long and meaningful life surrounded by family and friends. All who knew her adored her for her loving heart, gentle attitude, and unfailing devotion to her loved ones.

Maria was a devoted and dedicated worker at Allen’s Stop-N-Shop where she was manager for 30+ years. Maria was also known as a wonderful cook who loved to prepare meals for her family and friends. Her home-cooked meals will be remembered for years as her loving hands seemed to put warmth and love into every dish she prepared.

Most importantly, Maria enjoyed spending time with her family, where she was a compassionate and loving wife, mother, and sister. She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren where she took great joy in sharing their lives achievements. Maria's closeness with her family was extremely deep; she poured love into every moment they spent together.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo Q. Silguero; parents, Luis and Aurora Garcia; brother, Luis Garcia Jr.; sisters, Elma Perez, Lisa Garcia, and Herminia Yee.

Among those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Rodolfo (Imelda) Q. Silguero Jr., Rogelio G. Silguero, and Robert (Virginia) G. Silguero; siblings, Arturo Garcia, Cristina Alanis, and Aurora Rodriguez; grandchildren, Rosemarie S. Deleon, Robert Silguero Jr., Randall “Randy” Silguero, and Roxanne S. Brown; great-grandchildren, Robin Silguero, Robert Silguero, Rie Deleon, Richard Deleon Jr., Risa Deleon, Roland J. Brown, and Shawnee Brown

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
