Maria Juanita "Janie" Sandoval, age 65, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born May 2, 1952 in Kingsville to Ruben Sandoval Sr. and Estella Villanueva Sandoval. Janie was a former employee of Kleberg County Human Services. Afterwards she was employed for CACOST.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Danny Garza of Kingsville; two sons, Rene Sandoval (Andrea) of Arlington, Texas and Raymond Perez (Michelle) of Japan; one daughter, Christina Garcia (Peter) of Kingsville; four brothers, Ruben Sandoval (Leti), Ramiro Sandoval (Sandra), Ray Sandoval (Tencha) and Robert Sandoval (Thelma), all of Kingsville; two sisters, Tissey Schoech (Richard) and Ody Pena (Michael), both of Tomball, Texas; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
Janie enjoyed gambling, cooking, dancing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
