Maria Rios

Maria Celia Rios, 64, went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2022. She was born on March 29, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas to Marcos and Maria Chapa.

She was the biological mother of two children; however, many people considered her their own mother.

She was a beautiful, and kind soul. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, her love for music, and mostly her love for all that crossed her path. Maria was an exceptional wife and mother of two sons. She cared deeply for her family. She did this not out of obligation but because of who she was.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Jose Rios; children Joe (Heather) Rios and Paul (Priscilla) Rios; grandchildren: Marko Rios, Sarah Martinez, Andrea Martinez, Kayla Martinez; and two great-grandchildren: Penelope Castillo and Eleanor Castillo as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Turcotte Piper Mortuary. A funeral mass will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Martin Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
