Maria "Olga" Lozano, age 91, died on March 11, 2019, in San Antonio, TX.
Olga is survived by her nieces, Sylvia Lozano Hoyer, Yvette Lozano, and Velma Lozano Bendele, sister-in-law, Irma Hinojosa Lozano, brother, Baltazar "Cono" Farias, and niece, Daniela Farias Schulze, all of San Antonio.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eliseo Lozano Sr., mother, Elena Cabrera Lozano, and brother, Eliseo Lozano Jr., all of Kingsville, TX.
Olga was born on November 27, 1927 in Kingsville to Eliseo Sr. and Elena. She graduated from Henrietta M. King High School; also graduating from Texas A&I University with both bachelor's and master's degrees in education. She accepted her first teaching position in Sarita; she also worked in Rivera and Premont. Olga enjoyed traveling and taught overseas in Madrid, Spain for one year and in Venezuela for nine years. When she returned to the U.S., she taught in Robstown, Alice and Kingsville, where she retired. She served many children over her 38-year career.
A loving daughter, sister, aunt, and godmother, Olga had a deep Catholic faith.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2019 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Kingsville, to include a rosary at 10:30am and a mass at 11:00am, followed by a burial service at Chamberlain Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Martin's Parish Hall.
