Maria Lerma

Mary Amaya Lerma, age 64, went to be with our Lord on July 18, 2018. Mary was born on April 5, 1954, in Kingsville, Texas to Arcadio Amaya Sr. and Josefa Orta Amaya. Mary was a resident of Kingsville, Texas. In the 80's she worked for McRee Ford in Dickinson, Texas, as a Title Clerk, and also attended Alvin Community College. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arcadio Amaya Sr and Josefa Orta Amaya, brother Cruz Amaya, and sister Aurora Arguijo. She is survived by her beloved husband Manuel Lerma Jr. of 30 years; step children, Liza Lerma, Justin Lerma (Veronica), and Ashley DeLeon (Orlandro); three brothers, Arcardio Amaya Jr (Vilma), Reymundo Amaya (Elizabeth), and Guillermo Amaya (Rachel); Sisters, Cristela Amaya, and Petra Garcia; 9 step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited that same evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Our Lady of Good Counsel at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas.
