Maria Gonzalez

Maria Elva Gonzalez, 73, passed away on September 24, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on April 2, 1947 in Karnes City, Texas to Alejandro and Anastacia Garza Villarreal.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alejandro and Anastacia Villarreal, husband Antonio Gonzalez, one sister Juanita Rivera, and one brother Julio Villarreal.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Ruiz of Bishop, Tx, three grandchildren Alexis Ruiz, Madalyn Ruiz, and Christopher Ruiz, Jr. “C.J.”, all of Bishop, Tx, one sister Tomasa Garibaldo of Bishop, Tx, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at St James Catholic Church in Bishop, Texas. Interment to follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
