Marcelino Gonzalez

Marcelino Gonzalez was born on May 26, 1941, to Olivia Garcia Gonzalez and Domingo Gonzalez in Nordheim Texas. He passed away on October 14, 2023, in Bishop Texas surrounded by his Family.

Marcelino worked at the grain silo’s, started during his childhood to help take care of his Family early on. Marcelino was later disabled and was able to spend time at home with his wife and was always available for his children and grandchildren with whatever they might need. Marcelino loved fishing during his free time, loved carpentry, and was excellent at math. Marcelino committed his life to God at 37 years old and was a devout Christian and member of the church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; stepfather, Eugenio Gonzalez; sister, Sabita G Maldonado; brother, Librado Gonzalez; grandson, Domingo Librado Gonzalez “Baby Lee”.

 Among those left to cherish his memory are loving His Wife of 58 Years, Celia M Gonzalez. His sons, Domingo Gonzalez (Angie), Robert Gonzalez (Amanda); daughters, Petra Gonzalez, Nancy Gonzalez; grandsons, Giovonni Gonzalez, Benjamin Garza, Hector Garza, John Gonzalez, and Jacques Gonzalez; granddaughters, Lidia Gonzalez, and Allison Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Lilian Garza, Pierson Gonzalez, Mayson Gonzalez, Aiden Gonzalez, and Jeremiah Gonzalez.

Honoring Marcelino as Pallbearers are Giovonni Gonzalez, Benjamin Garza, Hector Garza, John Gonzalez, Samuel Mendez, and Luis Mendez.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas; with a prayer service, to be recited at 7:00 PM. A chapel service will be on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. The burial will follow at Evangelico Cemetery in Bishop, Tx.

The family welcomes everyone to fellow ship with them at Simple Truth Church 405 N Ave F, Bishop, TX 78343 Thursday after the burial.
