Manuela Garcia

Manuela M. Garcia, age 92, a resident of Fort Worth, Texas and a former longtime resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born March 6, 1926 in Kingsville, Texas to Nazario Munoz, Sr. and Adelita Guerra Munoz. Manuela was employed for many years as a retail associate for Terry Farris, C.R. Anthony, and Kroger's. She then worked for Kingsville ISD until her retirement. In addition, she was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arturo R. Garcia, Sr.; daughter Ana Maria Garcia of Fort Worth, Texas and formerly of Kingsville, Texas; parents Nazario Munoz Sr. and Adelita Guerra Munoz; two sisters Anastacia Martinez and Gertrudis Cortez; one brother Nazario Munoz, Jr; grandson Greg Trevino; and granddaughter Cynthia Ann Perez.

Manuela is survived by two daughters, Gloria G. Perez of Corpus Christi, Texas and Velma Trevino (Ernie) of Fort Worth, Texas; one son, Arturo R. Garcia, Jr. (Iselda) of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers Enrique Munoz (Dora) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Jesse Munoz (Adelita) of McAllen, Texas; three granddaughters Sara, Priscilla, and Patricia; two grandsons Orlando and Tres; great granddaughter, Sophia; four great grandsons, Jose, Rolando, Benjamin, Derek; and great-great grandson Jesiah numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
